Regional Parks & Open Space:

Take full advantage of the excellent Southern California weather by enjoying the Jeffrey Open Space Trail (JOST), which offers the potential of a 70-acre gateway park. (Today, the trail consists of a one mile segment running along Jeffrey Road from Trabuco Road up to Irvine Boulevard.) The JOST provides a key link extending from the Pacific Ocean to the Santa Ana Mountains and the Cleveland National Forest. The trail is ultimately expected to link with the Great Park trails, the Venta Spur Trail (runs between Culver Drive and Jeffrey Road), the Hicks Canyon Trail (runs through north Irvine to Peters Canyon Wash), and other proposed trails, with the goal of providing virtually endless recreational opportunities.
